Lauren has been teaching piano since 2006 and is a nationally certified teacher of music. She opened the studio to bring quality music instruction to the New Orleans area. Teaching is her passion. She serves on the executive boards for both the Louisiana Music Teachers Association and the New Orleans Music Teachers Association. She received both a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Loyola University New Orleans.
Born and raised in Almaty, Kazakhstan Dilyara Shiderova started her musical training at the age of seven. She received her undergraduate degree in Pedagogy, Piano Performance, and Accompanying from Almaty State Conservatory in Kazakhstan in 1999. Dilyara was a full scholarship recipient to the Graduate School at the University of New Orleans where she graduated with a Master of Performing Arts degree in 2003.
While in Almaty, Dilyara was teaching piano at Kashaubaev Music School for Gifted Children and Contemporary Music College. In New Orleans, she has been teaching piano at Loyola Preparatory Arts Program and New Orleans Center for Creative Arts.
As a performer, Dilyara has made guest appearances at numerous locations in New Orleans including: French Quarter Festival, Jazz and Heritage Festival, Brahms and Wine at House of Blues, Snug Harbor, New Orleans Vocal Arts Chorale performances, Metropolitan Opera productions, Jefferson Performing Arts Society, Trinity Recital Series and with Loyola University faculty.
Maggie earned a Bachelor of Music in both piano and vocal performance from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2009 and a Master of Music in voice from Loyola University in 2015. She has been teaching voice and piano privately in the New Orleans area for the last eight years. She performs with the New Orleans Opera and is the Music Director at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Metairie.
Michelle has been a piano student of Stephanie Screen for eight years. She has been the recipient of many awards in competitions throughout New Orleans. She enjoys playing piano for her church on a regular basis. In the future, she plans to study piano pedagogy at Cedarville University in Ohio.
Ed Demirer is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and music teacher. He graduated from Five Towns College in New York with a Bachelor of Music in classical and jazz vocal studies. Currently, Ed teaches music lessons and directs the middle school choir at Sylvanie Williams College Prep. He performs as a guitarist and vocalist with the nine piece ensemble, Harumph, a local barbershop quartet, the Hummingbirds, and with his original band, The Somerton Suitcase. He is also the tenor section leader and soloist for Munholland Methodist Church’s chancel choir. Ed believes everyone has the potential to grow in music and enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences.
