The month of February is the perfect time to use Valentine music resources in your studio. The theme is appropriate for students of all ages. Over the years, I have made various Valentine music resources such as ensemble arrangements, activities, games, worksheets, and studio incentives. Check out each section below to get ideas for Valentine music activities in your studio.

🎶 Music
Skidamarink Piano Ensemble Music – Written to be used with 1, 2, or more pianos.
🎲 Activities
Themed worksheets: I put Valentine themed worksheets in dry-erase pockets so that I can reuse the worksheets with different students. I print them one time only and keep in my studio for year after year.
Valentine Rhythm Worksheets for Students
Fortune Tellers: This is a quick little game that I love to use in my studio. Students of all ages enjoy the game. I’ve made 2 sets in a Valentine theme.

🫙 Candy Jar Game / Prize Jar Game
Candy Jar Game – I updated this game to include some ideas that are not candy but rather a contest for counting items. The updated files call the game a “prize jar” rather than “candy jar.”
One year, I put puzzle pieces in a jar for my students to guess the number of pieces. The winner won the puzzle. Here are 2 Valentine themed puzzles: 500-piece heart puzzle and 300-piece heart puzzle.
The free Candy Jar Game printable includes files to do the game with candy pieces or as a “prize jar” with non-candy items.
⭐️ Besides a puzzle, here are some ideas for non-candy items:
- Tiny Resin items: Where I live, this is kids’ current favorite tiny item. Little small resin items such as mini ducks, mini turtles, mini ladybugs are a very fun jar filler!
- Toy Item: Use an open-ended toy item like mini puzzle pieces, legos, or brain flakes.
- Acrylic Vase Filler: Kids love collections of small items. This provides another open-ended toy for kids. Autumn gems, Stars, Gems
- Mini Erasers: Christmas, Valentine, Easter, St. Patrick’s Day
- Make a seasonal craft jar with washi tape, foam stickers, pom poms, etc.
